GIANT (2026) @ Cedar Lee Theater / Anatolia Cafe

About this event

In a 1983 article denouncing the invasion of Lebanon, the beloved children’s author Roald Dahl ( Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ) went beyond criticism of Israel’s military actions to condemn Jews in general. Giant reimagines his publishers’ attempts to persuade Dahl to retract his anti-Semitic remarks. A play-on-screen, Giant was recorded at a live performance in London’s theater district, were every show for its entire fourteen-week run sold out. Actor John Lithgow won both a Tony and an Olivier Award for his portrayal of Dahl.
